Plain-language summary: you own your data, you pay for the add-ons you choose plus AI credits, you are responsible for what you publish, and you can leave any time with your data. The full terms follow.
1. The agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Cause Command platform and website (the “Service”), operated by Community Boost (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organization you represent.
2. Accounts and organizations
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your organization’s workspace. Accounts belong to individual staff members and may not be shared. You must provide accurate organization information, including tax status where it affects features such as Google Ad Grants eligibility.
3. Your data and connected services
You retain all rights to the data you connect to or create in the Service, including CRM records reached through the integration layer, generated assets, donation records, and campaign content. You grant us a limited license to process this data solely to provide the Service.
When you connect third-party services, you authorize us to access them on your behalf within the scopes you grant. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms.
4. AI-generated content
Content produced by AI features is generated at your direction and provided to you as-is. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing it, including advertising content subject to platform policies such as the Google Ad Grants program rules. We do not use your content or connected data to train models.
5. Fees, credits, and payments
Add-ons (such as Self-service and Change access) are billed monthly through Stripe at the prices shown when you subscribe. Credits meter AI usage, and each run shows its cost in credits before it starts. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Donations and event payments are processed on your own Stripe account via Stripe Connect. We are not a party to transactions between you and your donors.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to violate law, infringe the rights of others, send unsolicited bulk communications, misrepresent your charitable status, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service. We may suspend accounts engaged in abuse after reasonable notice where practicable.
7. Termination
You may cancel an add-on at any time; your workspace returns to View access at the end of the billing period, and you may export your data before or after cancellation. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these terms. Sections concerning data ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
